Full Moon 2025
"Full Moon"-2025
Acrylic, on birch, abalone, copper, ermine, shells.
My year end exhibition piece for the indigenous Grad Show titled "Gathering on Indian time"
My piece titled "Full Moon"
The full moon is recognized as an end of a cycle and the start of a new beginning. In Nisga'a moon mask carvings, Norman Tait who was a highly respected Nisga'a artist explains there are 2 types of moon masks "The moon mask and the Rich moon mask".
Embelished with copper, abalone, ermine, and filled with a colourful vibrancy that represents the supernatural energy the moon carries. My full moon is a rich moon and it honours my accomplishments and the artist I have become.
